Made up of 12 districts each with its own flavour, tour groups will have no problem finding some sort of activity to suit. The city has Europe’s finest integrated transport network with regular trains, trams and buses at prices that put London to shame. Remnants of the city’s coloured history are everywhere with large parts of the Berlin Wall still intact. Checkpoint Charlie, the old crossing point between East and West Germany, and the Brandenburg Gate are also a must for sightseers. When it’s party time, head for the Mitte district, home to Berlin’s best nightlife and, coincidentally, Teamlink’s preferred Bronze accommodation, the All in Hostel.
