Berlin
Prices from £269
Berlin Sports Tours

Made up of 12 districts each with its own flavour, tour groups will have no problem finding some sort of activity to suit. The city has Europe’s finest integrated transport network with regular trains, trams and buses at prices that put London to shame.  Remnants of the city’s coloured history are everywhere with large parts of the Berlin Wall still intact. Checkpoint Charlie, the old crossing point between East and West Germany, and the Brandenburg Gate are also a must for sightseers. When it’s party time, head for the Mitte district, home to Berlin’s best nightlife and, coincidentally, Teamlink’s preferred Bronze accommodation, the All in Hostel.

Teamlink in the KNOW:

  • The Berlin X’s rugby tournament takes place in June and is a well-organised event worth looking at for senior men’s and women’s teams seeking a social weekend away.
Hamburg
Prices from £266
Hamburg Sports Tours

“I was born in Liverpool but I grew up in Hamburg.” That’s what John Lennon said after spending a few months playing in the city’s bars with the Beatles. He undoubtedly spent quite a bit of time on the Reeperbahn, a boulevard intersected by side streets lined with clubs, bars and more besides. Be under no illusions, one visit here and you will see why past tourists claim that Hamburg rivals Amsterdam as the capital of Europe for adult entertainment.  As this destination favours the over 18’s, we have categorised this as unsuitable for schools and junior sports clubs.

Cologne
Prices from £199
Cologne Sports Tours

Germany’s oldest, liveliest and friendliest city is situated on the banks of the river Rhine. The city’s world famous cathedral, Kolner Dom, is an excellent landmark and offers stunning views across the region. Cologne boasts an excellent social scene with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes and the nearby Michael Schumacher Karting centre is a must do activity within your tour for all ages. The Cologne area has one of the largest concentrations of rugby teams in the country, whilst hockey and football are also popular sports within the area.

Teamlink in the KNOW:

  • U19 rugby teams are invited to join men’s sides in the annual Teamlink Cologne Crusaders’ Rugby Cup held in the German city over the May bank holiday 2010.
