Business/Social Hints: All executives speak English, many also speak Italian, French and/or German. As from April 05 smoking in restaurants and bars is prohibited unless a designated smoking room is provided. There are also restrictions on smoking on public transport. HEALTH AND SAFETY

No recommended immunisations however check travellers have up to date tetanus & polio immunisations. Malta is a participant of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC scheme) which allows visitors on short-term stays to other member countries to use the public health care sector for free or reduced-cost medical treatment and emergency care. Malta has reciprocal health agreements with Australia and the United Kingdom. Nationals of these countries, visiting the Islands for no longer than one month, are entitled to free medical and hospital care in both Malta and Gozo. Tap water is safe to drink.

2) Holders of national passports expired within 5 years issued to nationals of Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal Spain & Switzerland
3) Holders of national passports expired within 1 year issued to nationals of Germany
Passport Validity: Passports must be valid for duration of stay in Malta
