Teamlink Raising Money for Sport Relief!

Sport Relief 2010

Teamlink Sports Tours continued their dedication to raising funds for charitable causes with all staff getting active in various formats over 2010’s Sport Relief weekend....

Managing Director, Mark Gardner started the weekend with a bang by raising £127 as part of a three strong team taking on a 24-hour exercise bike ‘East Midlands to Paris’ challenge at Tesco’s 24-hour store in Mansfield, which they exceeded by over 300km!

Following the activity Mark jetted straight off to Sport Relief headquarters to man the phones for the BBC, taking pledges in the charity’s call centre at Gatwick Airport – his station alone raising a magnificent £600!

Meanwhile, the remaining Teamlink crew spent Saturday in attendance at Derby’s Kingsway Sainsbury’s store packing customers’ bags and helping them with their shopping during the day. The team managed to collect around £200 from the generous locals!

And finally, James Maplethorpe and Natalie Lebeter from the company’s Sales and Marketing division each ran six miles on Sunday 21st as part of the Nation’s Sport Relief Mile Challenge.

Teamlink’s efforts over the weekend have proudly assisted their sister company ‘Thomson Sport’ in reaching their current total of £160,000 – well done everyone!
