Sample East Coast Itinerary: New York City & Boston


The Itinerary below takes in the best that  the East Coast has to offer from New York City to Boston, and everything in between.

New York - The name alone conjures iconic images like the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and streets lined with big yellow taxis. From the skyscrapers of Manhattan to the colloquial charms of Little Italy and Chinatown, the Big Apple is home to a world of tastes, sights, sounds and of course sport!

Boston - Vastly important in American history thanks to a direct involvement in the American Revolution, “The Cradle of Liberty” is renowned as a seat of learning and culture. A massive influx of immigrants has made Boston one the most important Irish cities in the world and this is reflected in the St Patrick’s Day celebrations

  DAY ONE
Your sports tour to America has started as you depart from London on your flight to New York. Upon arrival your chartered coach will meet you at the airport and take you to your tour accommodation where you will have an evening of leisure.
 

DAY TWO
You have a free day so it’s time to explore. Why not gaze over the Hudson River at the Statue of Liberty or go and see her up close by taking a ferry over to Ellis Island? The island is home to the immigration museum, why not try and find a long lost relative in the Ellis Island artefacts giving you more to remember than just your sports tour.

  DAY THREE
Day three brings your first match on your American sports tour against a local team, where you have the opportunity to show the USA just how it’s done.
  DAY FOUR
Today you will get the chance to become acquainted with New York City as you get the opportunity to walk the streets of ‘The Big Apple,’ find Central park and window shop down Fifth Avenue. In the evening why not treat yourself to some live sport  With two NFL American Football teams, two Major League Baseball teams, two NHL Ice Hockey teams and an NBA Basketball team, there’s no better city in the country to catch a top-level game.
  DAY FIVE
Day five of your sports tour to the USA brings you another free day so why not get your adrenaline pumping and head down to Coney Island? This amusement park has an array of thrilling rides as well as 4km of sandy beaches; the resort is also home to the New York Aquarium. This excursion has something for everyone and is a perfect way to spend a free day during your sports tour.
  DAY SIX 
Your final day in New York has unfortunately arrived. So make the most of it! Go and experience Times Square, there is always something to take your fancy from concerts, street performers and artists. If this doesn’t appeal to you why not get inspired at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art to add a little culture to your American sports tour.
 

DAY SEVEN 
Transfer to Boston via chartered coach and check in to your accommodation.  Spend the day familiarising yourselves with your local surroundings and second touring destination.

  DAY EIGHT
Day eight sees your second fixture against a local side.  After the game your hosts will provide you with post-match hospitality in true American style.
  DAY NINE
Take a trip to Fenway Park the oldest baseball stadium in the Major League. If the Red Sox are in town you will have the opportunity to see them in action on their home turf.
  DAY TEN
You will travel to your third and final match against local opposition. Enjoy some post match festivities with your opposition over a corndog.
  DAY ELEVEN
Before heading off to the Airport why not experience some Boston history by going on the Freedom Trail which takes in 16 historic monuments over 2.5 mile walking tour. Then head to the airport to fly back from your sports tour to America.
  DAY TWELVE
Arrive back in London. End of Arrangements.
