The year 2012 will commemorate the Amsterdam Cup’s 14th anniversary with 200 to 250 teams from 10 countries expected to participate

The Amsterdam Cup is open to all teams that are members of their FIFA affiliated national associations. The tournament is played on 35 grass and artificial soccer pitches spread over different locations in Haarlem, Amsterdam and the surrounding locations. The tournament is played on both grass and artificial pitches and all matches are played on both Saturday and Sunday.

Tournament Format

C14 - Boys born 1998 or later 11 + 5

D12 - Boys/girls born 2000 or later 11 + Unlimited
E11 - Boys/girls born 2001 or later 7 + Unlimited
E10 - Boys/girls born 2002 or later 7 + Unlimited
F09 – Boys/girls born 2003 or later 7 + Unlimited
G17 – Girls born 1995 or later 11 + 5
G15 – Girls born 1997 or later 11+ 5

All teams will play a minimum of six games each spread over the Saturday and Sunday. In the first round all teams will play in groups of 4 or 5 teams in which all teams in each group will play each other once. On Sunday the second round will commence. All teams that qualify in 1st or 2nd positions from the Saturday games will play in the second round A and all other teams will play in the second round B. The second round group winners play in the semi final.

Sample Itinerary

Sample 4-Day Itinerary:

Day 1 - Your executive coach will pick you up from your sporting club house and begin the journey to Holland. You will embark on the channel crossing from Dover / Folkestone to Calais (subject to using Eurotunnel or ferry crossing). You will then be transferred to your chosen tour accommodation. When at the accommodation you will check in and the night will be at your leisure.

Day 2 - Your exective coach will transfer your team the The Amsterdam Cup tournament venue. The tournament will begin at 09:00 and run until approx 19:00. After the tournament your coach will transfer you to your chosen tour accommodation and the night will be at your leisure to explore. 

Day 3 - You will be transferred to The Amsterdam Cup tournament venue. The second round of the tournament will commence at 09:00 all semi finals will also be played throughout the day. The tournament will end at approx 18:00 and finish with the awards ceremony. Your executive coach will transfer you to your tour accommodation and the night will be at your leisure. 

Day 4 - Your executive coach transfer from your chosen tour accommodation to Calais, where you will embark on your return channel crossing back to the UK and your rugby club house.
