The Dana Cup is Denmark's leading sports event and one of the largest youth football tournaments in the World. From the opening ceremony to the final, this is a special tournament for all involved.

Challenges in sport, social experiences, cultural enrichment - Dana Cup Football Tournament has it all. Over the last 29 years more than half a million participants from 100 nations have made the Dana Football Cup known all around the world. The tournament provides great international opposition with teams competing from all over Europe and even further afar. With the heart of the tournament being held at the Hjorring Stadium, the venue allows for a truly special opening ceremony and exciting finals.

Tournament Format

The tournament caters for different age groups in various formats. All matches are played 11 a side unless stated below:

Boys U19s - born 1.1.1991 or later
Boys U17s - born 1.1.1993 or later
Boys U16s - born 1.1.1994 or later
Boys U15s - born 1.1.1995 or later
Boys U14s - born 1.1.1996 or later
Boys U13s - born 1.1.1997 or later
Boys U12s - born 1.1.1998 or later (7-a-side)
Boys U11s - born 1.1.1999 or later (7-a-side)

Girls U19s - born 1.1.1991 or later
Girls U17s - born 1.1.1993 or later
Girls U16s - born 1.1.1994 or later
Girls U15s - born 1.1.1995 or later
Girls U14s - born 1.1.1996 or later
Girls U13s - born 1.1.1997 or later

Sample Itinerary

Sample 6-Day Itinerary:

Day 1: You will make your way to your chosen departure airport where you will begin your journey to Denmark. Upon arrival in Denmark you will be transfered to your chosen tour accommodation. Depending on flight times you may be able to catch the official opening ceremony which is a collective march into Hjørring Stadium for all participating teams.

Day 2: You will be transfered from your accommodation to the venue for the Dana Cup. On the opening day, Teams are split into groups of 4 or 5 for the Tournament's first rounds. When the tournaments first day draws to a close you will be transferred back to your tour accommodation by your team coach.

Day 3: The third day of tour follows on from the previous day's fixtures with your team continuing to play their group games with the hope of making it through to the knock-out rounds which take place from on Day 4.

Day 4: The tournament's second round will operate on a knock out basis. The first and second ranked teams from the first rounds will play in the second round A, while the remaining teams will play in the second round B. Finals in the 7-a-side categories and the Boys U17s, Girls U13s, U17s and U19s will all be played on Friday, with all other tournament finals taking place on Saturday.

Day 5: The fifth day of tour is allocated for the finals of the Boys U17s competition, as well as the Girls u13s, U17s, and U19s. Should your team make it this far, then it will be a day full of tough games, culminating in the final of the Dana Cup. After being victorious in the final, the evening is free for you to celebrate your teams success.

Day 6: The remaining final matches take place today. At the end of the tournament, there is a closing ceremony to celebrate all participant's success in making the tournament a success. After the final day of the tournament it's time to return to your accommodation, pack up your bags, and head to Denmark aiport for your return flight home.
