Welcome to the 24th edition of this famous Flemish rugby festival, held just outside the historical town of Ghent. The Belgian hosts provide excellent hospitality with a pre-tournament party and refreshments available throughout the two-day festival.

The Ghent rugby tournament will take place on the four pitches of the beautiful Blaarmeersen – the local sports and leisure park with dressing rooms by the lake and only a stone’s throw from the bustling centre of Ghent. Tournament organisers are already expecting teams from Sweden, USA, Italy, Great Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Each senior team will play three games on Saturday, and on Sunday at least two elimination games will be played.

Sample Itinerary

3 or 4 day packages are available for this event.

Sample 4-Day Itinerary:

Day 1 - Your executive coach will pick you up from your sporting club house and begin the journey to Belgium. You will embark on the channel crossing from Dover / Folkestone to Calais (subject to using Eurotunnel or ferry crossing). You will then be transferred to your chosen tour accommodation. When at the accommodation you will check in and the night will be at your leisure with an optional guided city tour.

Day 2 - You will be transferred from your accommodation to the Ghent International Rugby Tournament venue via your executive coach transport. The tournament will begin with breakfast being served and the first games beginning at 09:00. Post match entertainment will be available on site including; BBQ served at 18:00 followed by a live band and Mega Rugby Party. You will then be transferred back to your chosen tour accommodation via your executive coach.

Day 3 - You will be transferred from your accommodation to the Ghent International Rugby Tournament for the final day of play! You will again start the day with breakfast and the CUP, PLAT, and BOWL competition will commence at 09:00. The veterans final will be played at 16:00 followed by the ladies at 16:45 and the men at 17:30. The official prize giving ceremony will run from 18:15 followed by the official after party! Again your executive coach will be available to transfer you back to your chosen tour accommodation.

Day 4 - Your executive coach transfer from your chosen tour accommodation to Calais, where you will embark on your return channel crossing back to the UK and your rugby club house.
