The Harrogate Rugby Tournament (near Leeds) has been a great success for a number of years and goes from strength to strength each season. This year the tournament is set to attract record breaking numbers however places are limited so act fast!

Over the weekend a large number of rugby teams both local and from further afield compete in a fun atmosphere, accentuated by 2009’s entry field of 114 sides from 29 clubs! There will be snacks and drinks available all day and a BBQ later in the afternoon for your rugby team to enjoy.

Tournament Format

Under 7: 10 players (5 minutes each way)
Under 8: 10 players (5 minutes each way)
Under 9: 12 players (7 minutes each way)
Under 10: 12 players (7 minutes each way)
Under 11: 15 players (7 minutes each way)
Under 12: 15 players (7 minutes each way)
Under 13-16: 15 players (7 minutes each way)

All player registrations must be complete by 09.20 on tournament day one with a team sheet including player dates of birth and RFU passport number, following by a 09.30am Coaches Meeting. All players must be eligible for their respective age groups as at midnight 31st August/1st September 2011. All Saturday games will kick off at 10.00am for the U13-U16’s Super 10’s tournament whilst Sunday is reserved for the U7-U12’s rugby competition. Every attending team must also have a Level 1 rugby coach in attendance who is prepared to referee matches when their own team is not participating.

Sample Itinerary

Sample 3-Day Itinerary:

Day 1 - Your executive coach will pick you up from your sporting club house and transfer you to your chosen accommodation. When at the accommodation you will check in and you will have the night at your leisure. Alternatively Teamlink can arrange a tour excursion for your team.

Day 2 - You will be transferred from your accommodation to the Harrogate Youth Tournament venue via your executive coach transport. The tournament will begin with the player registration (09:00 - 09:20). Games will commence at 10:00 and Saturday will see the Boys' Juniors (U8s - U12s) battle out for the Harrogate Youth Tournament title! Post match entertainment will be available on site. Your executive coach will then be available to transfer your team back to your chosen tour accommodation.

Day 3 - You will be transferred from your accommodation to the Harrogate Youth Tournament for the final day of play! Sunday will see the Boys' Juniors (U13s - U16s) battle out for the Harrogate Youth Tournament title. Again post match entertainment will be available. Your executive coach will then transfer you back to your sporting club house.

OPTIONAL EXTRA DAY 4-Day Itinerary:
