Tournament Format

The two-day rugby event is held in the Swedish capital with opening and closing parties sandwiching this internationally renowned festival of running rugby. This rugby tens tournament is a perfect summer event that mixes great weather with an unrivalled tournament atmosphere. 

The hosts, Stockholm Exiles RFC, have continually excelled in laying on a tournament that's professionally coordinated, officiated and delivered to the highest order.  Expect fully qualified doctors and medics, international referees (Wayne Barnes) and a mixture of club and invitational sides from all corners of Europe.

Our company rugby team - The Teamlink Titans - have been competing at the fantastic Lapin Kulta Stockholm Tens Tournament for the past five years (with mixed success!) and will be attending for the sixth year running this summer.  

The organisation is first class and no stone is left unturned in providing you, the rugby player, with a unique sporting event with unrivalled social scene to boot.  Places are usually snapped up by late March with early booking recommended to guarantee your place.

Sample Itinerary

Sample 4-Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive at Stockholm 10s Rugby Tournament and check into your hotel. A Tour Leader's welcome meeting is held at the Rica Talk Hotel to collect the vital information regarding the Tournament and a chance to check out the opposition before the games commence tomorrow. The plan for the evening is to head into to the city centre and experience some real Stockholm night life at The Liffey in Gamla Stan.

Day 2: It's time for the games to begin. Tournament schedules will be released in June and circulated to all teams accordingly. Matches will kick off from 10.00. Now you've played your socks off, it's time to show the other teams what you're really made of. See who has it in them to party all night and carry on playing rugby the next day - that's the real challenge.

Day 3: It's your last chance to make sure your team makes it to the top. Play your heart out from 10.00 and reach your maximum potential. The first prize is something special! The final night holds the all important prize giving where tournament trophies are dished out to the best and all tour stories are revealed to fellow competitors...however you know the saying - what happens on tour, stays on tour.
