Dubai Sample Itinerary
Teamlink's Sample Itinerary for a recommended Dubai Sports Tour:
Dubai 7 day sports tour
Day 1 – UK / Dubai:
Arrive at your designated airport three hours prior to your overnight scheduled flight for the six-hour journey to Dubai. Our preferred carrier is Virgin Atlantic (Heathrow) but we are able to offer regional, direct flights to Dubai with Emirates Airlines from Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and Gatwick as well as Heathrow. In-direct services are also available from Cardiff, Bristol, Humberside and Edinburgh with KLM via Amsterdam.
Day 2 – Dubai:
On arrival, put your watches forward four hours, collect your luggage and board your chartered coach for the short journey to your selected accommodation. Free evening. In order to see the city’s offerings we recommend taking a Big Bus Tour of Dubai, allowing you to jump on and off at leisure to view the city’s magnificent artefacts up close and personal.
Relax at your accommodation in the evening or jump on the Dubai Metro to one of the many Malls in the city that stay open until midnight, combining sightseeing and shopping with your evening meal.
Day 3 – Dubai:
AM: Relax on one of the many beaches in Dubai or kick back in your hotel’s swimming pool.
PM: First sports match v local opposition followed by post-match hospitality with your hosts.
Day 4 – Dubai:
Ease the muscles from yesterday’s opening match with a full day spent at the Wild Wadi Waterpark in Jumeriah, offering up close and personal views of the incredible Burj al Arab 7* hotel in the Arabian Sea. Wild Wadi will easily entertain your sports group for a full day as you attempt to tackle the artificial surf machines, Falcon Fury, Tunnel of Doom, Rushing Rapids, Tumble Falls and the Thunder Rapids.
Day 5 – Dubai:
AM: Take a trip to the magnificent Mall of the Emirates (via the Dubai Metro) and participate in a spot of indoor skiing or snowboarding in the world’s biggest indoor ski slope!
PM: Second sports match v local opposition followed by post-match hospitality with your hosts.
Day 6 – Dubai:
Free day to complete your sightseeing of this magnificent city. ‘Must do’s’ include the Burj Khalifa tower (the world’s highest!) complete with shopping experience at The Dubai Mall (located at the foot of the tower), Dubai Museum, evening Dhow Cruise, Desert Safari or simply a day on the beach relaxing and finishing off your tan!
Day 7 – Dubai / UK:
Subject to your airline’s schedule you’ll enjoy either a free morning at leisure or connect via bus to Dubai International Airport for the return flight, landing back the same day having re-gained the four hour time difference. After clearing customs and collecting luggage your sports tour arrangements will terminate.
YOUR Dubai!
This is our recommend sports tour to Dubai. However, the itineraries are flexible and can be amended to suit the needs of your touring group. We offer billeting opportunities with local British schools as well as twinning Dubai with another destination to create a twin centre sports tour. Dubai is also an excellent stop over destination for teams heading to the southern hemisphere countries. Opportunities include South Africa, Hong-Kong, Australia or New Zealand. Please enquire for further details.
