Driving: Driving is on the right. Temporary local licence required, issued on production of valid international licence or national licence issued by the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland Rep, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom or United States
Business/Social Hints: Women should dress conservatively. Many executives speak English, a few words of Arabic will be appreciated. Muslim conventions apply. It is the convention to use the right and not the left hand when passing or receiving anything. Visits during Ramadan should be avoided. Smoking is accepted but subject to some restriction in public places and public buildings, and particularly during Ramadan. Alcohol is available in major hotels and restaurants. On social occasions, eg invitation to restaurants, be reasonably punctual and dress as for business meetings unless otherwise indicated. There are some limitations on photography

PASSPORT & VISA INFORMATION
Passport General: Required by all
Passport Notes: Persons with expired passports wishing to depart must travel to their country of origin only
Passport Validity: Passport must be valid for minimum 3 months on arrival
Visa General: The following DO NOT require a visa:
1) Nationals of United Arab Emirates
2) Citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar & Saudi Arabia
3) Holders of a Visit Visa issued on arrival for stays up to 30 days (extension to 90 days possible, fee AED 500) to:
a) Holders of British passports, provided the status is "British Citizen"
b) Holders of passports issued by Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei Darrusalam, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (S.A.R. passport holders), Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States & Vatican City
