Q. How do I book my sports tour with Teamlink?
A. We have an exceptional Sales Team who are experts in creating tailor made tours to suit you and your team. As Tour Leader you will work with your dedicated Tour Advisor to perfect the desired tour package for your team. When you are happy with your package and are ready to book, use your chosen quote reference to submit the Online Booking Form and Pay your team deposit.
Q. What sports can you organise a Sports Tour for?

Teamlink Sports Tours specialise in tailor-made sports tours for all major team sports rugby tours, football tours, hockey tours, basketball tours, netball tours andcricket tours, at all levels from junior and youth teams through universities, senior club sides and all military sports tours. Our versatility permits us to cater for non-team/mainstream sports including tennis, badminton, trampolining and cheerleading and that’s just to name a few. Q. Who will I be in contact with at Teamlink?

When booking a tour with Teamlink your journey will begin with a dedicated Tour Advisor from our experienced Sales Team who will work with you as Tour Leader to accommodate all your sports tour needs and create your perfect tailor made tour package. On Booking your Teamlink tour, you will fly over to your personal Tour Operator from our skilled Operations Team who will then make your booking come to life in the run up to your tour and during your trip. If your dedicated contact is not available at any time Teamlink’s experienced staff base will be on hand to help you out where possible.
Q. I've got a quote from another sports tour company, can you beat the price?
A. Our mission statement is to provide ‘value-for-money sporting experiences’ to our clients. We pride ourselves on our competitive prices and high level of service and will always to do our best to get you the best price for your team, without cutting out the quality. Teamlink is financially protected under regulatory bodies ATOL and ABTA, it’s always best to check with other sporting tour companies that they are too. If you have received an option from another fully bonded and reputable tour operator we will always do our best to beat this option on a like for like basis - or advise you on any aspects of the tour package that may be missing from the competitor’s quotation (synonymous with certain operators who prefer to dazzle group leaders with a low entry price). Provide your Sales Advisor with a hard copy of the competitor’s quotation in writing of what you would like us to try and beat and we’ll do our utmost to ensure YOU travel with the RIGHT company.

Q. How do I know my money will be safe?
A. Teamlink Sports Tours are a fully bonded tour operator offering our customers financial security through our Air Travel Organiser’s Licensing (ATOL number: 9992). This ensures that teams travelling on our flight packages are protected from losing money or being stranded abroad due to the failure of an airline. As we are ABTA andATOL bonded you can book with the confidence that your money and your tour are safe.

Q. When do I need to pay for my tour?
A. Your team deposits are due immediately on completion of your online booking form. Once you have booked your tour with Teamlink, we will advise you and provide you with a payment schedule which will include details about the amounts which are due to be paid and on which date. Included in the payment schedule will be interim payments and final balances. Final balances are due 8 weeks prior to departure.
Q. What happens if I miss my payment?
A. Teamlink will issue you a payment schedule when you book your tour with us. You must make all payments as per the schedule outlined in your confirmation invoice which will set clear dates for when your next payment is due. If you miss a payment and we do not receive payments as per your schedule you will incur a late payment fee of £25 per booking and we reserve the right to cancel your booking. However if you are struggling with payments and pro actively contact your Tour Operator , we will work with you to try and provide you with an alternative payment schedule to avoid charges occurring.
Q. Are online payments secure?
A. Yes, Teamlink use Pay Point which provides secure online credit and debit card payments for web merchants. Pay Point is one of the UK's leading premier branded retail networks for the convenient payments of bills.
Q. Can I change the numbers of people touring once booked?
A. Yes, The price of your tour is based on the number of people you have identified as being members of the touring group on the submitted Booking Form however depending on availability numbers can be added to the group. It should be noted that a reduction or increase in the numbers travelling in the group from those originally booked, may have an effect on the overall price per person. If you wish to add a member to the touring party please contact your Tour Operator at Teamlink, please note that flights fees change on a daily basis and often increase closer to departure which may be the case if adding extra to the original group booking.
Q. What standard of fixtures do you organise?
A. Teamlink can arrange sports tours and matches for ALL major team sports for junior, school, university, adult, vets and military sporting sides. Teamlink ensure that every effort is made to organise sport fixtures to suit your team’s age and ability.
Q. When will we know the final details regarding our fixtures?
A. Teamlink have access to a multitude of fixture agents who we work with on a day to day basis to provide the best fixtures for you and your team, we aim to secure fixtures as early as possible however occasionally due to the nature of sport, some fixtures may take longer to finalise.
If you are awaiting your Rugby team’s fixtures to be finalised we will work with the local governing body on your teams behalf to grant permission to tour.
Q. What do I do about permission to tour?
A. Permission to tour only applies to Rugby teams and Scottish Football teams. All other teams do not require permission to tour.
You need permission to be granted by your local governing body and occasionally your chosen tour destinations governing body depending on the location. Teamlink can help you by providing the correct forms and information however it is the team’s responsibility to obtain permission to tour.
Q. Does my fixture include hospitality after the game?
A. In some cases the hosting club will provide hospitality before and after the game which may include food and drinks, however this is not guaranteed, for more information talk to your Tour Operator.
Q. What type of pitch will I be playing on?
A. This will depend on the type of sport and the touring destination, contact your Tour Operator if you require more information.
Q. Can we get sports travel insurance through Teamlink?
A. An essential part of organising a sports tour at home or overseas is to arrange adequate Sports and Travel Insurance for your tour members. This is especially important when the main purpose of your trip is to play some sort of sport. Usually your standard Travel Insurance policy from a mainstream holiday provider is unlikely to cover you for playing sport however we can provide travel insurance that will cover you for all your needs whilst away on tour for a competitive price. We also offer additional cover for youth and school groups providing liability cover for the school and teacher as well as any equipment taken on the trip.
Q. Do Teamlink do risk assessments?
A. No, Teamlink carries out full safety audits of all of the components within your chosen sports tour. Therefore, we "assess the risks" within the accommodation, transportation, excursion and sporting venues to ensure the environments you will use are safe. If you are touring as part of a school group your Local Education Authority requires a risk assessment to be completed to gain permission to facilitate a school trip. We can help you put this document together and offer our expert advice on making this process as seamless - yet comprehensive - as possible.
Q. What happens if something goes wrong whilst on tour, or if I want to complain?
A. As Teamlink are part of TUI Travel Plc - the WORLD'S LARGEST TOUR OPERATOR, we can guarantee that a highly trained member of staff will be on-hand to help you with any queries or emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our dedicated 24 hour contact number can be found within the Tour Leader's Final Documentation Pack. If you encounter any problems whilst on tour or are unsatisfied with an aspect on your tour, it is essential that you contact us so we can do our best to resolve the problem whilst you are still on your trip. Please note that you must register all complaints whilst on tour for the necessary action to be taken on your return, this way we can do our best to ensure that your problem is resolved.
Q. What other documentation do you need from me as Tour Leader?
A. Once you have submitted your booking form your Tour Coordinator will be in contact to give you further details regarding the documentation we require from you. This will consist of name lists, rooming lists, permission to tour, and API details. Some of the documentation will need to be submitted at different times depending on if you are travelling by coach or plane. Name lists are required shortly after you have booked your tour, please ensure that the name you provide on name list is as shown on your passport, a middle name is not required. Rooming lists are required a month before departure to enable the checking in process to be quicker.
Q. Can you provide us sports kits and bags and add it to my booking?
A. Teamlink Sports Tours have paired up with a major UK kit provider to offer an exhaustive tour kit service with discounted rates for Teamlink customers.

Q. Someone has dropped out can I replace them?
A. Yes In most cases, you may transfer your booking to someone else. There will be a name change fee added to the new reservation for this transfer once the initial deposit has been made. Please contact us at 0800 092 4790 if you are looking to do a name change on your trip, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Q. Can I change the date of my tour?
A. Yes, this will be subject to availability depending on flights, accommodation and fixtures. There will also be an administration fees to pay if you decide you want to change tour dates, please contact your Tour Operator for further details.
Q. Do I need a Visa/Passport to travel?
A. This will depend on which destination you are visiting, you are responsible for ensuring you and your group have the necessary passports and visas. All members of your group will need a full 10-year passport to travel overseas, valid for at least 6 months prior to travel [and with a minimum of 6 months until expiry from the date of your return]. Passport applications should be made well in advance of departure, and children under 16 should have their own individual passport. If a member of the touring group changes their name after booking but before travel, we MUST be informed, as all documentation has to be accurate. You will be liable for any losses or costs incurred as a result of such change(s). You may have tour members who are not British nationals and hold foreign passports. If this is the case, or if your tour is to a non-EC country, visas may be required. We cannot assist with this facility and you should allow several weeks for the application process via the relevant Embassy.
Q. Can I add excursions to my trip?
A. Yes, Teamlink can provide you with excursion for your trip, if you have a something specific in mind then inform your Tour Operator, alternatively take a look at the Excursion page which will follow on from your chosen tour destination web page.
