ATC Pirbright to visit Ajax and Feynoorde...
After their successful football tour to Spain last year, we are proud to announce that we are the official tour operator of ATC Pirbright's 2013 football tour to Holland. Holland has a long history of global success in the football arena pioneering the way in which modern football is played with the implementation of "Total Football" in the 1974 Germany World Cup. Many players from the golden era of Dutch football played for two top Dutch teams, Ajax and Feyenoord. In homage to Holland's great footballing past ATC will be taking a stadium tour of the Ajax Arena and Feyenoord's "De Kuip". Both stadiums are equally impressive and each guided tour includes a look around the dressing rooms, players' tunnel and the dug-outs as well as being able to touch the hallowed grass that players like Johan Cruyff, Dennis Bergkamp and Zinedine Zidane once walked on. On the other hand each stadium has its own unique features, such as the graffiti wall at the Ajax Arena and the Home of History museum at De Kuip.
These memorable excursions will be integrated into an action packed 7 day twin-city tour to Amsterdam and Rotterdam, where they will play three well-matched fixtures against local opposition.
The football tour will act as a great end of season experience for the team and will help them pick up some ideas for next season. Reportedly tour leader Andrew Hiley will be on the look-out for any up and coming Dutch talent at the Ajax and Feynoord academy that could help his team, Aston Villa save the drop. Aston Villa are looking for a goal keeper, right back, two centre backs, a left back, a right wing, two centre mids, a left wing and two centre forwards!
